Overview

The Sustainability and Ethics Group brings together UBC Sauder researchers and lecturers from across the School to create a hub of thought leadership, with the goal of addressing the fundamental societal issues of sustainability and ethics through innovative research and education.

Working in collaboration with other internal UBC groups and external corporate and academic stakeholders, we work to streamline academic processes and help to envision the future of research and teaching in sustainable and ethical concepts.

In action

Sustainability and ethics are intrinsic to the values of UBC Sauder, and are foundational to the School’s mission of inspiring and educate responsible leaders who improve business, drive innovation, and generate prosperity in British Columbia and throughout the world.

UBC Sauder undergraduate students with an interest in steering their education and careers towards sustainable and ethical business fields can now declare a Sustainability and Social Impact concentration while pursuing their Bachelor of Commerce degree by completing a total of 12 credits of sustainability-related courses. Students who have successfully completed the requirements of the Sustainability and Social Impact concentration will have the concentration noted on their transcript after graduation.
