BCFSA Continuing Education and Remedial Education Courses

Continuing Education

Legal Update

All licensees are required to complete one Legal Update course applicable to their area of practice (during each two year registration period) prior to their licence expiry date. If you are licensed to provide more than one service (i.e. trading services and strata management services), you are still only required to complete one Legal Update course.

Ethics – Building Trust

Required for ALL licensees, once per licensing cycle.

Please Note: Ethics – Building Trust is the second Ethics Course in BCFSA’s ethics continuing education program. If you completed “Ethics for the Real Estate Professional”, you are required to take “Ethics – Building Trust” for your next re-licensing cycle.

Anti-Money Laundering in Real Estate

Real estate licensees were required to complete the Anti-Money Laundering in Real Estate course if their licence expired between April 1, 2020 and March 31, 2022. After March 31, 2022, completion of this course may be required by BCFSA as part of licence requalification, licensee discipline, etc.

Remedial Education

BCFSA Remedial Education

The Remedial Education courses are designed for those individuals who have been required to complete a remedial course of studies either by the BC Financial Services Authority pursuant to Section 43-2(f) of the Real Estate Services Act or by consent order.
