UBC International MBA Early Entrance & Merit Scholarships

Applicants who display an outstanding combination of talent, drive, and academic achievement may be considered for UBC International MBA Early Entrance or Merit Scholarships.

We award scholarships by taking a holistic view of the value that each talented applicant brings into the program. We assess merit around a comprehensive review of factors, including but not limited to: work experience, application essays, interview performance, and academic credentials. Scholarships will be awarded in the range of $2,000 USD to $10,000 USD.

Early Entrance Scholarship

All applicants who submit a complete application by the following deadlines will be eligible to receive a fee reduction on acceptance to the program.  Applications must include all supporting documents by the date specified to be eligible.

All applicants who submit a complete application by the following deadline will be eligible to receive a fee reduction on acceptance to the program. Applications must include all supporting documents by March 3, 2023 to be eligible.

 $4,000 USD February 3, 2023 March 3, 2023*

*Supporting documents include a complete application form with at least 2 references, unofficial transcripts, unofficial degree certificates and official test scores.

Dean’s Entrance Scholarship
This prestigious, merit-based award is awarded to applicants for a strong alignment with UBC Sauder values of rigour, respect and responsibility. Applicants must have an exceptional track record of academic excellence, community involvement, and business leadership skills. Applicants must submit a Scholarship Statement of Qualification when applying to the IMBA program.

 $2,500 USD - $10,000 USD *Extended to October 8, 2023 *Extended to October 8, 2023

Responsible Business & Community Spirit Scholarship
For top talent with a strong background in sustainability, social entrepreneurship and commitment to social causes. It is highly expected that applicants for this scholarship also exceed all admissions requirements. Applicants must submit a Scholarship Statement of Qualification when applying to the IMBA program.

 $2,500 USD - $10,000 USD May 5, 2023 June 5, 2023

International Talent Scholarships
For high-calibre MBA students with a proven track record of international work assignments and or experience and demonstrated career progression working with multi-cultural teams. It is highly expected that applicants for this scholarship also exceed all admissions requirements. Applicants must submit a Scholarship Statement of Qualification when applying to the IMBA program.

Women in Business Leadership Scholarships
For high calibre students with proven team leadership and ambassadorship for Women in Business causes. It is highly expected that applicants for this scholarship also exceed all admissions requirements, in addition to their leadership and passion for supporting Women in Business initiatives. Applicants must submit a Scholarship Statement of Qualification when applying to the IMBA program.

 $2,500 USD - $10,000 USD May 5, 2023 June 5, 2023

Dean's Excellence in Diversity Award
Up to two awards for incoming IMBA applicants who are a member of an underrepresented community an equity deserving. Scholars will be selected based on their demonstrated commitment to building a culture of inclusion in their communities and excellence in academic and professional settings.
