Fees and Expenses

UBC MM Program Costs

To apply to the MM program, all applicants (Canadian and International) pay the non-refundable $157.25 CAD fee prior to the application being processed. Please note that the electronic application requires payment of an application fee using MasterCard or Visa only. Application fees cannot be deferred and are only valid for the academic year in which you apply.

Tuition fees are payable in three equal installments in the first week of September, January, May. Upon receipt of an offer of admission, you will be required to submit a non-refundable and non-transferable $5,000 deposit in Canadian currency. 

The cost of living can vary greatly depending on your lifestyle, budget and spending habits, but these estimated costs of living in Vancouver while in the MM program should give you a general idea.

Student Fees

These are mandatory fees for students of the University of British Columbia. Students will receive a U-PASS, allowing all students unmitigated access to Vancouver’s transit system, and AMS Extended Health Insurance, which will cover the duration of their time in the program.

MM student building fee

This is a student-levied fee which all UBC Sauder students pay, and passed through student referendum to finance the renovation of the Henry Angus Building. The full amount is taken at the same time as the first tuition installment on September 1st.
