Management information systems specialization

The Master of Science (MSc) program in MIS is intended for students who want to obtain specialized education in Management Information Systems and the use of Information Technologies in business for the purpose of continuing their studies towards a PhD degree in MIS.

Purpose

The MSc in MIS is a research oriented degree program. It is aimed at students who are interested in pursuing a PhD degree after completing the MSc degree.

Audience

The MSc in MIS is aimed at students with undergraduate degrees in disciplines such as commerce, computer science, economics, engineering, and the natural sciences. Students who do not have a background in business and/or information technology will be required to complete prerequisite courses.

MSc students are eligible to apply for financial assistance in the form of a research assistantship or teaching assistantship.
