Purpose

The MSc program in Finance is a research-oriented degree program. It is aimed at students who are interested in pursuing a PhD degree after completing their MSc degree.

Audience

Finance MSc students typically have very strong academic records and undergraduate degrees (or even graduate degrees) in quantitative disciplines such as commerce, economics, mathematics, statistics, science, or engineering. Previous work experience is not required. Enrollment is limited and admission is highly competitive.

We are pleased to offer the RBC Graduate Entrance Scholarship for Women in Finance to an incoming student who will be starting our MSc program in Finance in September 2020:

RBC Graduate Entrance Scholarship for Women in Finance

A $25,000 entrance scholarship is offered annually by the Royal Bank of Canada for an outstanding female graduate student in the Finance Stream of the M.Sc. in Business Administration program in the UBC Sauder School of Business. Conditional on the recipient’s continued satisfactory academic progress, the scholarship may be renewed for an additional year of study. Only one student can hold this award in any given year.
