The Master of Management (MM) program, the Master of Business Analytics (MBAN) program, and the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at the UBC Sauder School of Business’s Robert H. Lee Graduate School are amongst the world’s best, according to the newly-released QS Business Masters Rankings 2021, part of the QS World University Rankings.

Considered to be one of the most highly regarded analyses of business schools, the annual QS report identifies the top 148 MM programs, the top 97 MBAN programs and the top 257 MBA programs around the world.

UBC Sauder MM program number one in Canada

According to the QS Business Masters Rankings, the UBC Sauder MM program ranks first in Canada, a position it has secured for the third straight year since its debut in 2019. The MM program ranks 4th in North America and 43rd globally.

In particular, QS noted the MM program’s thought leadership and alumni outcomes with scores well above the global average. Additionally, QS awarded the MM program’s diversity with a maximum score (100%) for “Female Students” and “International Faculty,” recognizing the far greater percentage of the student body being female and the faculty being international at UBC Sauder compared to the global average.

The nine-month MM program at UBC Sauder gives recent non-business graduates the skills they need to gain a competitive edge in the job market. Developed to address the evolving needs of today’s most innovative employers, the MM curriculum provides students with a vital grounding in a broad spectrum of business and management disciplines, from accounting to finance and marketing to strategic management. Students are coached to launch their careers and connect with opportunities in organizations in Vancouver and around the globe.

Also released this week were the Financial Times (FT) rankings of Masters in Management programs for 2020. The FT 2020 Masters in Management ranked UBC Sauder’s MM program third in North America.

UBC Sauder MBAN program third in Canada

The UBC Sauder MBAN program, in its second year as a part of the rankings, placed third in Canada and 33rd globally.

QS highlighted the program’s alumni outcomes, research impact, and international faculty as its strongest indicators of excellence.

The 12-month UBC MBAN is about much more than technical know-how. It captures the full analytics spectrum, including data management, data analytics, and decision analytics. Courses include marketing, customer relationship management, consulting and project management, strategic management and emotional intelligence. Students learn how to make strategically sound recommendations and data-driven business decisions—exactly what companies around the world need.

UBC Sauder MBA program cracks global top 100

The UBC Sauder MBA program placed 94th globally, representing a jump of over 20 spots in the rankings over last year, and the first time that the program has ranked within the global top 100 since QS began ranking MBA programs in this format in 2018.

QS noted thought leadership and diversity as the program’s strongest indicators of excellence.

The 16-month, full-time MBA program at UBC Sauder's Robert H. Lee Graduate School is an opportunity for high-achieving, ambitious professionals to take their career to the next level. For students seeking new opportunities, with an entrepreneurial mindset or wishing to become leaders in their field, the UBC MBA offers fresh perspectives and a pathway to realizing personal and professional potential.
