The UBC Sauder Philanthropy Program is pleased to host a talk on “Getting Involved in the Non-Profit Sector: Options for Careers and Volunteering” by Christie Stephenson on November 1, 2018.

The non-profit sector presents an attractive option for students looking to work or volunteer with organizations that are mission-driven and where they can see their contribution having a positive impact on society. There are opportunities in traditional non-profits addressing crucial issues like health, education and social services, but also emerging areas such as impact investing and social enterprise. The speaker series, hosted by the UBC Sauder Philanthropy Program, will give students a comprehensive look at how they can get involved in this innovative industry.

Christie Stephenson is the Executive Director of the Peter P. Dhillon Centre for Business Ethics at UBC Sauder School of Business. She has worked, volunteered, and served as a board member, in numerous organizations in the non-profit sector over the past 30 years.
