About the Speakers
Profile
Sarah Caven
Sarah is a UBC MBA graduate with 10 years professional experience across Europe, Ethiopia, Canada and Latin America in the natural resources sector bridging industry, academia, international development, government, indigenous and private sector perspectives. She creates scalable impact within the natural resources industry by creating enabling environments to catalyse new types of collaboration, and developing and implementing innovative technology based solutions to resource future generations in a more sustainable and equitable way.
Samuel Chen
Samuel graduated from UBC Sauder with a finance specialization and experience in impact investing, from early stage start-ups to public equities. He was a Fund Manager at Vancouver Propel Impact Fund, where he contributed to impactful ventures for two years. Previously, Samuel has worked at Rally Assets, Canada’s first impact investing public equity fund. He is currently focused on the energy transition as an analyst in the Sustainable Energies Group at CPP Investments.
