Tracey McVicar

Partner, CAI Capital Partners

Tracey is a Partner at CAI Capital Partners and a graduate of the Sauder School of Business.   She joined CAI, a private equity firm, in 2003 after spending over a decade in investment banking at RBC Capital Markets and Goepel, Shields & Partners (now Raymond James Ltd.).  Tracey is a Chartered Financial Analyst and has received the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

At CAI, Tracey and her team have invested over $300 million in equity in ten North American businesses.  They specialize in partnering with founders to facilitate their retirement and succession over time.

Tracey is currently Chair of Feeney Brothers Utility Services, Ansan Traffic Group and White House Design, and a director at Canadian Heating Products - all of which are CAI portfolio companies.  She is also a Director and Audit Committee Chair at Teck Resources Limited (TECK.B – TSX) and a former director of BC Hydro Corporation. 

In addition to her business commitments, Tracey is an active board member on several community and professional organizations and she is the Chair of Golf for Good, an annual golf tournament now in its 13th year that has raised over $2,000,000 for non-profit organizations that “do a lot with a little”.  Tracey has been recognized with many awards including WXN’s Canada’s Most Powerful Women Top 100, BIV’s Top 40 Under 40 and BC Business Magazine’s 50 Most Influential Women in BC.  In 2017 she was featured in the publication “Canada 150 Women” by Paulina Cameron and in October 2019 she will be honoured with a Luminary Award by Big Sisters of BC Lower Mainland.
