Sheldon Trainor is the Founder and Managing Partner of PacBridge Capital Partners, a principal investment firm based in Hong Kong. PacBridge was formed in early 2009 and specializes in providing early stage and growth capital to companies seeking to take disruptive technologies and build scalable businesses. Since its formation, PacBridge has advised on more than US$4.0 billion of completed transactions and made investments in companies around the world focusing in life sciences, smart city and environmental technologies and leisure and cultural sector.

Since May 2012, Sheldon has been an Executive Director of Macau Legend Development Limited, which is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and is one of the leading owners of entertainment and casino gaming facilities in Macau and also has projects in Laos and Cape Verde. Since May 2019, Sheldon is also an Independent Non-Executive Director of Foxconn Interconnect Technology Limited, a subsidiary of Foxconn (Far East) Limited listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The Company focuses on the development, manufacturing and marketing of electronic and optoelectronic connectors, antennas, acoustic components, cables and modules for applications in computers, communication equipment, consumer electronics, automobiles, industrial and green energy field products. He was a director of Athenex, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company which is listed on the NASDAQ June 2017 and March 2019.

Prior to the formation of PacBridge, Sheldon was Vice Chairman of Merrill Lynch Asia and was responsible for senior client coverage and principal investments for Merrill Lynch in the Asia Pacific Region. Before that he was the head of investment banking where Merrill Lynch Asia was named Best Investment Bank in Asia in 2007 (by asset) and awarded Best General Industries Bank of the Year by Finance Asia in 2005 and 2006. Before joining Merrill Lynch in 2005, Sheldon was a Managing Director and head, general industries group at Morgan Stanley in Asia. Under his leadership, Morgan Stanley was awarded Best General Industries Bank of the Year by Finance Asia from 2000 to 2004. Sheldon started his investment banking career at Credit Suisse First Boston in 1990 in Australia after graduating from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
