Jonathan L. Kallner

Jonathan is KPMG’s Canadian Managing Partner for Clients and Markets. In his current role, Jonathan is a member of the KPMG Canada’s Management and Executive Committee and KPMG’s Global Client’s and Markets Steering Group as well as the America’s Market Steering Group, working with offices across Canada on their organic and inorganic growth strategy and approach to clients and markets. His prior roles include serving as KPMG’s Regional Managing Partner for the Greater Vancouver Area and as the National Leader for KPMG’s Industrial Markets Group.

Jonathan has more than 30 years of experience providing business advice to privately-held and public companies, including advising clients involved in mergers and acquisitions, management buyouts and family succession transactions. He works closely with KPMG’s multifunctional teams to ensure that clients receive the full breadth of services that the firm has to offer to find innovative solutions to complex business issues.

Jonathan is currently a member of the Faculty Advisory Board for the Sauder School of Business at UBC and is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors and the Johnston Centre Research Council. In 2013, Jonathan was recognized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of BC with a Fellowship and in 2016 was recognized as the Strategic Partner of the Year by Life Sciences BC.

Outside of work, his interests include golf, coaching soccer and water sports. Jonathan is very involved in the community having served as a director of several not-for-profit organizations, including the Rick Hansen Foundation, and participants in a number of other charitable organizations.
